Hall of Fame
In its second edition, the Hall of Fame awards and honors the great aces of our motorsport, this year eternalizing another group of names of Brazilian drivers.
Presentation of cars from the Old Stock Race Category
Will be exposed, throughout the event, all opal cars that participate in the category Old Stock Race, which aims to rescue the excitement of old times racing.
The Old Stock Race is a category created to remember the dawn of Stock Car, when the tournament riders with their modified Opals had to have the best possible performance on the slopes.
The idea is to display those cars as a dynamic museum and at the same time promote a kind of excitement that only the old races were able to create.
For those passionate about Brazilian motor racing and also those who have not had the opportunity to meet the races in the 70’s, the Old Stock category will recreate the scenario that marked a heroic era, with great champions such as Paulo Gomes, Ingo Hoffman, Chico Serra and Zeca Giaffone.
The Old Stock Race will be held in the Brazilian championship character, with a schedule of 8 races in his first year. With a regulation to maintain balance between cars and keep low operating costs, the category will enable a large number of cars entered in it’s grid.
Sponsorship and support
Petrobras sponsors Velocult for the fourth consecutive year.
The Condomínio Conjunto Nacional, traditional in São Paulo once again gives its ample space for the exhibition of vehicles and other items that refer to this brilliant history.
To preserve the memory of the Brazilian auto racing is to preserve one of the most important parts of our own history.
